DUPR Partners with Good Game Sports to Power Club Play
DUPR and Good Game Sports have partnered so club leagues, tournaments, and events count toward official DUPR ratings.
The short answer
DUPR and Good Game Sports are partnering to make club play count. Clubs on Good Game Sports can pull player DUPR ratings for seeding and event setup, then upload match scores to DUPR after each event, so leagues, tournaments, and club events all feed official ratings.
We're excited to share that DUPR has officially partnered with Good Game Sports to power club play. You can read DUPR's announcement here.
DUPR, the Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating, has become the rating players care about. They check it after tournaments, they talk about it at open play, and they ask about it when they sign up for your leagues. Every organizer knows the question: "does this count toward my DUPR?"
With this partnership, the answer at clubs running on Good Game Sports is yes.
What this means for your club
So much of the pickleball played every week happens at clubs: leagues, ladder nights, single day events. Historically, very little of it counted toward a player's official rating, because getting scores from a club event into DUPR meant manual entry nobody had time for.
This partnership closes that gap. When you run an event on Good Game Sports, eligible match results upload to DUPR and player ratings update automatically. Your Tuesday night league carries the same weight as a sanctioned tournament.
For operators, that matters for two reasons:
- Your events become more valuable to players. Rated play gives players a reason to choose your league over an informal meetup. Their results count, their rating moves, and they come back to keep it moving.
- Your matchmaking gets better. Accurate, current ratings make for fairer seeding and closer matches, which is what keeps players signing up again.
How the integration works
The integration covers both directions, ratings in and scores out:
- Connect your club. Connect your DUPR Club to Good Game Sports using your DUPR Club ID. This is a one-time setup.
- Pull ratings in. Player DUPR ratings come directly into the platform when you set up an event, so you can seed divisions and build balanced matchups without looking anything up.
- Send scores back. After your event wraps, upload scores to DUPR and player ratings update automatically from the results.
This works across the 15+ formats on the platform, from round robins to MLP-style team events. If you want a deeper look at using ratings to build fair divisions, we covered that in How to Use DUPR Ratings for Fair League Seeding.
Rated play builds stickier programming
We've seen this pattern across the 80+ clubs running events on the platform: structured, rated play turns casual players into regulars. A player whose rating reflects their Tuesday league has a running storyline at your club. They track their progress, they recruit friends into the next session, and they stick around.
This partnership makes that storyline official. We're proud to be working with DUPR on it, and we're just getting started.
If you run a club and want your events to count, connect your DUPR Club in your integration settings, or reach out through ggsports.co and we'll help you get set up.
